Project Pioneer will be a major infrastructure project.
With construction scheduled to begin in 2012, Project Pioneer will create 8,800 employment years through both construction and operation, and it will contribute $2 - $3 billion to Alberta’s gross domestic product over the life of the project.
Project Pioneer provides a much needed economic stimulus with the majority of new jobs concentrated in rural Alberta. It will also support the many Albertans employed in the oil, gas, coal and mining sectors as well as the many industries that serve them.
Closer to the start of construction, important information about employment and supplier opportunities will be posted here.
